Amazon's Best Black Friday Deals on Tech

Black Friday is a little over a week away, and we already know what to expect from some of the biggest tech companies around. Microsoft and Google recently revealed their upcoming discounts, and now Amazon is offering up a look at what it has planned for the big day, too.

Here’s a taste of some of Amazon’s best Black Friday deals on new gadgets, from Echo smart speakers to 4K TVs.

Amazon Echo Devices

If you’re ready to try out one of Amazon’s voice-controlled speakers (or just want to add another Echo to your collection) there are plenty of options to choose from. The company is offering discounts on a bunch of models from the Echo Dot to the new Echo Plus.

For Black Friday, you can grab the Echo Dot at just $29.99 for a $20 discount. Amazon is also knocking $20 off the second-generation Echo (down to $79.99) and $30 off the Echo Plus (down to $119.99). The biggest deal is reserved for the Amazon Tap, a portable Bluetooth speaker with Alexa controls, which will be discounted by $50 (down to $79.99).

As an added bonus, Amazon throwing in a smart plug for just $5—that’s a $20 discount—as long as you also buy an Echo speaker.

Amazon Tablets and Kindles

Kindle Paperwhite

Amazon is also dishing out deals on its Kindles and Fire tablets for Black Friday.

On the e-reader side of things, you can save $30 on the Kindle Paperwhite (down to $89.99), which features an adjustable light and an anti-glare display so you can use it in the sun. There’s also a $30 discount on the entry-level Kindle (down to just $49.99) and a $30 discount on the Kindle for Kids Bundle (down to $69.99), which adds a 2-year warranty and a protective cover to the regular Kindle.

As for the tablets, Amazon is slashing $50 off the Alexa-enabled Fire HD 10, bringing the price down to $99.99. It’s also dropping the smaller Fire HD 8 down to $49.99 for a $30 discount.

If you’re shopping for your kids, you can save $30 on the Fire 7 Kids Edition (down to $69.99) and $40 off the Fire HD 8 Kids Edition (down to $89.99). For both models, you can also save an extra $10 if you buy two at the same time.

TVs and Other Gadgets

Sony

Amazon is positioning a mysterious “premium brand 40-inch smart TV” as its killer television deal at just $279.99, but we’ll have to wait to find out the exact model. In the meantime, there are plenty of choices to consider.

If you’re willing to pay more, there are some solid options. On Black Friday, you’ll be able to buy Sony’s 75-inch 4K Ultra HD smart LED TV for $1,999.99 (down from $2,498.00). The company’s 70-inch model is also getting a discount, down to $1,199.99 from the current $1,498 price tag.

Amazon also teased that you’ll be able to save up to $100 on PlayStation VR bundles. The company will offer discounts of up to 40% on PC gaming laptops, desktops, and components as well; along with up to 25% off on select 3D printers.
