Thoughts for the Day

"The only cure for covetousness, the only solution for selfishness, and the only medicine for materialism is giving to those who need what you have by becoming rich toward God. That is what Jesus did for us by dying for our sins, and that is what we can do for others in turn. If Jesus were a rich man, that is what he would do."
- Pastor Merritt

There are some days in the life of every believer when there are simply no spoken words that can adequately express the depth of our grief, discouragement, disappointment, sorrow, fear, depression, frustration, heartbreak or doubt. They simply won't come. The mouth is silent while the tears flow and the sighs, moans and groans we utter become the language of our heart. But God knows and understands even the heart that never speaks. He understands the groans, the moans and the tears, and He embraces every one with the same compassion and caring as the most eloquent prayer ever uttered. Never doubt that God understands when there are simply no words to say. He does…and He always will!
