My Thoughts for Today - Remembering

Well everyone we made it to Tuesday and one day closer to the first holiday weekend since Feb for those that go the 15th off. It is also the unofficial kick off of the summer season. I always liked Memorial weekend because of that but most people are incorrect in what it stands for. Memorial day is a day to honor those that have fallen in the line of combat. To honor those men and women that have passed by giving their lives for our country while serving in the military. Some people get this one confused with Labor Day and Veterans Day in meaning not when it is or name. I hope this has cleared up some things for those that were not sure.

I know that as each generation comes new theories, ideas, understanding, advances, etc...but at the same time each generation brings a loss of the past, events that happened that would never be believed. Like will the kids of today believe that we sent someone to the moon? Will they believe that at one time the Pledge of Allegiance was said in classrooms of schools across the country? Will they know that at one time not only were schools segregated but so was everything else from the barber shop to grocery stores from buses to walking around? We have come a long way since the days when there was no electricity or phones, no cars or airplanes, when things were done by candlelight at night and you either rode a horse, stagecoach or walked everywhere.

Times have changed greatly over the past 100+ years and depending on when Christ comes back will continue to change over the next 100+ years. The problem is will the current generation know and remember enough of the past to not repeat the same mistakes that each generation makes? I think one of the biggest examples in with families. No matter what we do it still seems like we make the same mistakes over and over. There is still a high divorce rate (in California alone its up to 75%), there is still abuse, single parents (more and more now), mixed up, lonely, crazy, privileged and poor kids. It's a shame and it will continue to happen no matter what because of our society and Satan. Until one puts God first and actually studies, understands and follows His word then nothing will change and history will continue to repeat itself over and over, no matter what TV or the movies say/show. Its just a fact of life. The way to get started with fixing it.....look in the mirror and start with that person.

I hope you all have a wonderful day. Take care and i'll be back tomorrow. Thank you for reading. Please like and/or subscribe to my blog. Jim out...
