So my thought for today deals with finances. Today's kids don't understand money. I mean most all kids don't you know. They think or know that all parents will take care of them no matter what, which is actually true. My point is that as those kids grow up they either don't understand or don't know how to handle their finances. Take for example sports starts, specifically NBA players. They get these multi-million dollar contracts either right out of high school or right out of college and they don't know how to handle it all and end up blowing it all on things they don't need or something they don't really need. Parents need to really teach their kids as they grow how to handle finances, that is of course, if the parents can handle money themselves. I think that once parents start teaching them more than what is needed i.e. love, compassion, responsibility, respect, etc...finances should be at the top of the list as well.
They don't have to start when children are little but as they grow, say middle school time frame, or a year or two before. That should at least get them on the right track to make sure they know how to handle funds instead of thinking it grows on trees and/or relying on their parents for the rest of their lives. Maybe, just maybe then we can keep the economy going with less people on the streets. I don't know I would think that if you want money and you get it, you would want to earn/get more and/or keep what you have. At least not blow it all and lose it right away to where you have nothing left and have to file for bankruptcy or go homeless. Anyway that is my thought for today. Time to hang it up and Ill be back tomorrow evening. Have a good night and blessed Sunday all.
