The Voice Crowns Its Queen(s)
NBC
BECAUSE: Consider the girl curse broken! Alisan Porter is our season 10 winner of The Voice, and by extension, so is her coach Christina. And considering that Alisan has known stardom before -- may we never forget Curly Sue -- and possesses a voice that can run you over, pull a U-ey, and do it all over again, perhaps with its 10th winner, "The Voice curse" can be broken too (y'know, the one where we never really hear from the winner again). Here's to you, Alisan: We'll look for you on the Billboard charts.

Dancing With the Stars
ABC
WHAT HAPPENED: Nyle DiMarco has a knack for winning. The deaf model, who topped the 22nd cycle of America's Next Top Model shortly before coming on Dancing With the Stars, just became the owner of his very own DWTSMirrorball trophy. Along with partner Peta Murgatroyd, Nyle wrapped up the season 22 title with a 24-hour Tango/Cha-Cha Fusion dance, earning a 30 out of 30. Second place winner Paige VanZant also earned a perfect score for her Jive/Salsa with partner Mark Ballas, and Ginger Zee got a trio of nines for her Foxtrot/Argentine Tango with Val Chmerkovskiy. But by the end of the two-hour finale, many seemed to be in agreement, that even if Nyle wasn't the top dancer left on the stage -- that title undoubtedly belonged to Paige, the UFC fighter who came out of nowhere to salsa her way into DWTS history -- his achievement on the show was entirely worthy of its crown.
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING: After all, Nyle and Peta brought about some of this season's most emotional and moving moments, and DWTS is all about heart. They squeezed one more in on Tuesday night's finale with the help of judge Carrie Ann Inaba. After their Tango/Cha-Cha, Inaba told Nyle, "Because you've spoken to us so eloquently in our language of dance, I want to say this to you and I hope I get it right." Nyle broke down in tears as Inaba stood up at the judges table and signed something to him in ASL. After his win, he toldEntertainment Tonight, "She said 'Thank you,' for sharing what's in my heart, and that's what really touched me because that's my goal every week ... I really want to connect with the audience and teach them what it really means to be deaf." Mission accomplished.

The Flash
The CW
WHAT HAPPENED: Leave it to Zoom to kill Barry's dad, then challenge him to a multi-universe ending foot race like some kind of crazy third-grade bully. But this bully's plan to make Barry like him is starting to work. When Barry tells Joe, "I want to do a hell of a lot more than kill [Zoom]. I want him to suffer," the team knows they need an alternate plan: so they create a portal to zap Zoom back to Earth-2... except, whoops, Zoom grabs Joe on his way out. Wally frees Barry in exchange for promising to get Joe back, and Barry plans to do exactly that when he finally gets his race with Zoom. And indeed, as they race, Barry creates a time remnant of himself to go save Joe, then uses that remnant to counteract their potentially world-ending speeds. Barry resists going for the kill and lets the time wraiths drag Zoom off. But that's not the end...
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING: With Zoom gone, the gang is finally able to free the man in the iron mask and it's... Henry Allen! Well, not exactly, but itlooks like Henry Allen and that's because the real Jay Garrick that Zoom has been keeping prisoner is the superhero version of Henry Allen from Earth-3. Jay suits up and heads back to Earth-3 leaving Barry feeling like he's lost his father twice-over. He promises Iris that he loves her, but he has to do something to find peace -- se he races back in time and stops Reverse-Flash from killing his mother. To which we say, "Say whaaaaaat?!" And what exactly does that mean for season 3, and uh, Barry's whole life? We can tell you this... John Wesley Shipp, who plays Jay Garrick/Henry Allen told EW that he'd been given permission to say, yes, he will be back next season: "They have all kinds of exciting and interesting plans for me, that are interesting not only in the context of the storyline, but they continue to spin out, which will be very challenging for me as an actor. That's all I'm allowed to say about that." We'll take it!

The Night Manager
AMC
WHAT HAPPENED: And so, The Night Manager comes to a close after only six hours, but considering it was six hours' worth of John le Carre adaptation, following Tuesday's finale, EW recapper Kevin P. Sullivan had to ask, "Not to sound like a complete fatalist, but what gives?" After all, this series somehow managed to wrap up on Tuesday night without its hero being tragically gunned down, and it certainly seemed that the antagonist was getting his comeuppance. Pine knows that to take down Roper and free Jed he has to stop the Cairo deal -- so he calls on his buddy Youssef and his radical brother. They sneak into the shipment the night before the deal and rig the weapons with explosives. He blows those suckers up, moves Roper's money, and in steps Burr, ready to bring down the hammer. Roper leaves the Nefertiti in handcuffs, and we get the distinct feeling that he shan't be long for this world.
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING: Pretty optimistic for a le Carre adaptation! Though that's not exactly an easy task, to be fair; Vulture points out in its recap of the Night Manager finale, "Adapting le CarrĂ© can send filmmakers down two equally perilous avenues. They can try to replicate the droll tone and creeping paranoia of his books, which risks losing the audience in arcane plotting and the suffocating backrooms of spy agencies. Or, in the name of mass-market entertainment, they can streamline the material too ruthlessly and risk losing le CarrĂ©'s voice." AMC's adaptation of The Night Managercertainly fell more in the latter camp, but we can get down with that if it means taking The New York Times' imagined future for Jed and Jonathan as truth: "They'll both, perhaps, pursue careers in modeling and, as they age, retail -- he specializing in blue linen shirts and she in lacy underthings -- and they'll live happily ever after in a state of extremely attractive amiability." Sure, that sounds... nice. And sometimes things end nicely.

ABC
WHAT HAPPENS IN THE HOT SPRING...: Ken Jeong as Louis' estranged older brother on Fresh Off the Boat with one serious hot spring secret between them? We'd buy that.
