My Thought of the Day

Sorry for the late entry. Here is my thoughts for today Tues, the 17th of May

Sometimes its not the person you miss, but the feelings and moments you had when you were with them.

A friend of mind told me this quote. I thought about it for a bit and you know, I do agree with it to a point. I think that is the case when someone was not close or did not care for the person they were with, maybe they just miss the company they had with the person at the time. I know there are many ways a person can miss another person just like there are many ways a person can love another person.

Breakfast, I don't know why but it just popped into my head to write about breakfast. Some say its the most important meal of the day, others skip it all together. What do you all think? When your thinking of breakfast though everyone sees it differently, I guess that would mainly depend on where you grew up at. For example growing up for me it consisted mainly of cereal except on the weekends when we would usually have eggs, pancakes or something else like that. But when I was in the military stationed overseas I found the European breakfasts usually consists of other items, such as pastries, fruit, juice and other non-surgery items. Our continental breakfast at hotels is more along the line of their normal house breakfasts. Now that is not to say they are all like that because each country is different and some people over there are more Westernized, especially the youth. The older generation still does things the old school way as you can say.

Also in countries, like Belgium, the children live with their parents even beyond college and into adulthood years. Why is that, well a few reasons. First it takes forever to get a house built and its expensive to do so. Secondly and I think is the bigger reason. They have no reason or incentive to. In fact the government pays them an amount each month regardless if they are working or not. So why should they move out when they can live for free with their parents, earn money from the gov't and live the life they want. Of course, as with all people, each situation is different. Some farmers kids stay and have to work on the farms. Other kids, in the cities for example don't do anything but hang with their friends all night and cause trouble. It all depends on what is happening. That is why their unemployment rate is so much higher over there in the youth/young adult category.

Well that is all for tonight. I hope you all have a good evening and/or morning depending on where you are. Talk to you tomorrow.
