Sun Inspiration

Morning Inspiration with James Merritt

If you are like me, you probably find some of fruit bears more easily on your branches than others. I went through this list and underscored the fruit that needs more fertilizing and this one definitely made my list. That would be patience. David understood the need for patience. He said in Psalm 37:7-9,

"Rest in the LORD and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who carries out wicked schemes. Cease from anger and forsake wrath; Do not fret; it leads only to evildoing. For evildoers will be cut off, But those who wait for the LORD, they will inherit the land."

Most of us think that patience is the ability to wait on others. Actually David has pinpointed what real patience is and why we tend to be impatient. He said impatience really stems from a lack of trust in God. The way to conquer impatience is to remember this simple truth: It is great to wait knowing God is never late.
