Fri Inspiration

Morning Inspiration with Pastor Merritt

The Apostle Paul, sitting in a Roman prison, wrote a letter to a church in Ephesus. I have been to Ephesus on several occasions and it is one of the greatest sites you will ever visit on this planet, because it is simply raw excavation of what that ancient city was like – no commercialization, no modern day remodeling. You go and walk the actual streets and see the actual sites that were there thousands of years ago. To the believers in Ephesus, Paul wrote these tremendous words:

“Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” (Ephesians 5:15-17)

The statement I want you to key in on is this one, “Understand what the will of the Lord is.” Step #1 to finding God’s will is this – Acknowledge God Has A Plan For My Life.

There is a path laid out for you, paved by the love of God, bounded by the grace of God, and directed by the wisdom of God. It is called the “Will of God.” Your job as a follower of Christ is first of all, to admit that that path exists. Whether or not you choose to find that path and follow that path will determine the quality of your life.
