Thoughts for the Day

There is only one way you in which you can cultivate a spirit of gentleness. And that is by daily beginning each morning with a complete, unequivocal, unconditional, surrender of everything you have and everything you are to the Heavenly Father with a desire that He be glorified in your life. -Pastor Merritt

Dr. James Merritt and the staff of Touching Lives encourage you to observe today's National Day of Prayer by setting aside a specific time to pray for our nation and her people. Pray that God will have mercy on America and that His grace will abound as never before. Pray that our hearts might be humble before Him and that we seek Him daily, repenting of the sin that so easily affects our spiritual walk. Only God can heal our nation, but to do that, our hearts must be humble and prayerful, always seeking His face, repenting of our sins and turning from our wicked ways. Then, and only then, will God heal our land (II Chronicles 7:14). This country, our world, needs God as never before. We at Touching Lives are committed to doing our part to share His message of hope to a world that so desperately needs it! It all begins, and ends, with prayer. Please join us today. - Ron Lambros, President, Touching Lives
