Thoughts for the Day

"When we look at the occasions when Jesus got angry -- and there are only a few -- we notice his anger is never directed at what someone did to Him. He never retaliated or lashed out at anyone who wronged Him. Even when His executioners nailed Him to the cross, He said, 'Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." Jesus grew angry only when others were hurt or wronged. So oftener problem is just the opposite. We can get angry over someone hurting us, but we turn a deaf ear and blind eye when others are being hurt." - Pastor Merritt
