My Thoughts for Today

So I was thinking about our court system. I have been to court a few times in my lifetime and for various reasons. Nothing I did wrong though. Here is the thing, we are given paperwork to fill out for the court system, you know so they can track stuff, put you in the correct courtroom with the correct judge and stuff like that. Along with this paperwork though are time limits. Once a court case has been assigned a number each subsequent filing has a certain time limit that goes with it. 

The thing is if the courts continue to let people go by with ignoring the time limits then what good is having the time limits on them at all. I mean seriously your given 21, 30, 45 days to file something and if you can't meet that time frame then you just file when you can and things will still be fine? WTH is with that? 

In all my cases I have never filed late, always been on time, even early but the other party is late with their stuff. Still it doesn't matter, their paperwork still gets used, still counts and they don't even get so much as a slap on the wrist for it. What good is our court system and time limits if they are not going to be enforced? Why do I or others like me have to suffer while lazy Joe or Sally can do what they want, file when they want and still get counted on or have the outcome in their favor? 

Oh I don't like that at all. It really pushes my buttons sometimes. I believe our judicial system is good, in fact it may be great, maybe not the best in the world but its still works if used correctly but I think there are a lot of things that need to be fixed and/or corrected in it. I guess it doesn't really matter in the end though. Its all about getting paid and trying to get your way. Forget about the little guy that tries to do everything by the book and still gets shafted because he might not have the funds to cover all the fees that it takes do go to court. Anyway I hope I didn't bore you with my mini rant here. I hope everyone has a good day/night depending on where you are at.
