Jodie Sweetin Inspires on DWTS
ABC
BECAUSE: We'd dare anyone to not be moved by Dancing With the Stars'"Most Memorable Year" episodes which weave many a glittery tale of the heartbreak and joy that made these people into stars. But we triple dog dareyou to watch former child star Jodie Sweetin talk about addiction without a box of Kleenex nearby. Sweetin went on to perform "the most inspiring dance of the night," according to Carrie Ann Inaba, to the stirring tune of "Rise Up" sung live on stage by Andra Day... we'd recommend it as a little Tuesday inspiration if only for Bob Saget's proud-dad comments alone. (Honorary Most Memorable Year mention: Nyle DiMarco who just... always deserves to be mentioned.)

WHAT HAPPENED: So, Kim and Jimmy are going to share a law office... now, if only their views and opinions on practicing law didn't differ in every single way imaginable, it might be smoother sailing. In an episode with particularly stunning cinematography (that single-take opening scene!), Jimmy and Kim try to figure out how Kim can hold onto her big fish client, Mesa Verde, when she leaves HMM. Kim, of course, wants to do things by the books with Howard, and she's almost successful, until Slippin' Chuck gets wind of Jimmy possibly benefitting from the situation. So now it's time for Jimmy to try his way -- in not at all foreboding secret, of course -- by sneaking into Chuck's house and sabotaging HMM by changing the address on all the Mesa Verde documents, behavior Kim would decidedly not approve of in an office and/or life partner. Oh Jimmy, will you ever learn?
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING: So much of Jimmy and Chuck's behavior seems to come down to the complicated relationship they share with each other. Referencing their own interview with actor Michael Mando, Vulture points out, "It's amazing to consider that, when Saul began, the producers had no idea Jimmy and Chuck's relationship would sour... Now, as we near the end of season two, the McGill brothers' saga is coming into its own. [Tuesday's episode] makes its clearest strides yet toward suggesting that Chuck's supposed electromagnetic hypersensitivity is a perversion of his unresolved anger. And like Howard, when backed into a corner, Chuck instinctively locates his defense mechanism and -- knowingly or not -- deploys it in tyrannical and controlling ways." Much of that defense mechanism comes from Chuck and Jimmy's shared upbringing, and for a show that's named after the future, more and more we find ourselves being taken back to the past.

WHAT HAPPENED: Ah, yes, the love triangle -- we know it well. And though there's no triangular heart or anything tattooed on Jane's body (that we know about), a love triangle is still what her future holds... or perhaps it's more of a rhombus. Weller luvs Ali; but Weller is giving Jane unsolicited birthday gifts and occasional bedroom eyes; but Jane and Oscar have a history. Luckily, a mostly irrelevant case-of-the-week made plenty of room for establishing the personal drama. Weller seems to be infatuated with Ali, but that birthday present he gives Jane is a necklace that belonged to her mother -- it's also a big ol' emotional beacon that Weller isn't past losing Taylor... or getting her back. But Jane has her own separate complicated history with that ex-fiancé of hers, who, in between telling her that she needs to split Ali and Weller up for her mystery memory-fueled mission, says it's so hard not to be able to express how much he loves her. So, yeah, more complicated emotions, and this time they involve a bed.
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING: In between establishing all those relationship dynamics, Monday's episode also looks to the future for a moment when Patterson finds a clue left behind for her by David that reads: "Got One Patterson." In other exciting Patterson news, EW has learned that the young hacker with whom she formed a bond, Ana Montes, will be reappearing in the season 1 finale. But this time, apparently, it's Jane she'll be bonding with in a moment of need. We may not know why, how, or when, but it's all goingsomewhere, folks.

WHAT HAPPENED: Not with a bang, but with an all-important final steal, did season 10 of The Voice wrap up its final Knockout round before the Top 20 head into the Live Playoffs. And Monday's entries into the freshly minted Top 20 might not make for obvious competition against current frontrunners like Alisan Porter, Hannah Huston, or Adam Wakefield, but there was definitely potential there; suddenly, this became quite the dynamic crew. After Christina chose wild country gal Kata Hay, Blake put us out of our guessing-game misery and used the season's final steal for falsetto slingin' Joe Maye. But it was surely Team Xtina's Bryan Bautista who had the best performance of the night, putting a funky reggaeton twist on Justin Bieber's "Sorry." Nothing to apologize for, Bryan...
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING: Except maybe the difficult predicament you just put Coach Christina in when it comes to eliminating someone from her totally stacked team next week. Heading into the Live Playoffs, Team Christina has sure-things Alisan Porter and Támar Davis, and as TVLine points out, "With the very, very good Ryan Quinn, as well as Kata, under Xtina's guidance, thatincreases the chances of a soul-crushing elimination during next week's Live Playoffs. Bryan's performance not only showed creativity, but showcased a magnificent range of swooping full-voiced glory notes, praise-hands emoji-inducing falsetto and a ridiculously sexy, hip-swaying demeanor that got me thinking the dude could be a legit pop-breakout success in a post-show environment." Godspeed, Christina -- may your diva status guide you.

CHANGING HISTORY: And for all the fact-gathering and title cards and hurry-up-and-waiting, 11.22.63 turned in a surprisingly touching finale, that built suspense up to the big moment we've all been waiting for, but also devoted an impressive amount of time to the tough business of letting go and continuing to carry on after tragedy.
