Mimi's - Review

Good morning all, so yesterday I went and ate at a local restaurant called Mimi's. Now some of you may know it, which is fine but I had never been there before. So I went for breakfast. Going in I did not know what to expect. Was like any other breakfast place, was it like Carrows or something along that nature?

When you first enter is the stand where the greeter wait and meet you and take you to your table. The food was OK, it was nothing special. What really got me about this place was the service and the menu. First the service was basically sub par. I had to repeat myself to the waitress 4 times when I was telling her there is a hair in my menu. I wasn't worried about the hair per se because it was just a menu after all but the fact that she was right next to me and I had to repeat myself over and over again. Hmmm....

Then when it came time to order is when it hit me that this place was nothing special or that good in fact. The menu said they had Dr Pepper. So I ordered a Dr Pepper, then instead of saying they did not have it the waitress said uhhh Pibb. I was like no Dr Pepper please. She said you mean Pibb? Really did I say Pibb, no I said for the third time Dr Pepper and pointed to it on the menu. That's when she asked me if I wanted coke or Pibb. I was tired so I said Pibb please. Then when I ordered my food, the menu (I should have got a picture of it for you all) had a platter like option where you could have one of each items (waffle, french toast, pancake, two eggs, bacon, sausage or ham.) So reading that and being hungry I told her that is what I wanted. She then proceeded to ask me what I wanted from there. To which I was confused. Apparently you can only choose one item, the eggs and one meat?? By this time I was hungry and upset so I gave her my order and asked if the bacon was included or extra. She told me extra but I can order it separately and pay for it that way. WHAT? Anyway I did that. The food itself was OK but kind of bland. The french toast cinnamon rolls that I ordered were overcooked on the bottom and to soft on the inside. However the eggs were still warm which, for me, was a first. Usually the eggs are cold when they come out because that's the first thing they make.

So to top off my review I would NOT recommend this place unless you don't really care for good quality food and service. Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.
