People from all walks of life were attracted to Jesus for this reason, Jesus Christ would probably be universally acclaimed as the kindest person who ever lived. He, too, came into an unkind world, a dog-eat-dog, every-man-for-himself culture. No mental institutions, hospitals, orphanages, or organizations of mercy existed then. Yet when Jesus came, He poured the milk of human kindness into every bowl of human suffering. No one every accused Him of being unkind, even His most bitter enemies.
