TOP MOMENT OF THE NIGHT
Too Little, Too Late on The Bachelorette
ABC
BECAUSE: In the words of yet another great JoJo, it was just too little too late for Cowboy Luke on Monday night's Bachelorette. After he waited until the last second to say, "I'm falling in love with you," JoJo shocked everyone by sending Luke home, and then weeping like it was the newest Olympic sport. On the bright side: After Luke's impressive shell-shocked performance complete with sorrowful stares, there's about a 110 percent chance we just found our next Bachelor. And he's a real-life hot cowboy!

The Bachelorette
ABC
WHAT HAPPENED: And that was just the first five minutes -- well, 15 if you count the post-Luke regretful sobbing -- of Monday's hour! Afterward, JoJo and her remaining three gentlemen headed to Thailand to participate in one of America's greatest traditions: the fantasy suite. Robby is up first. Although he says he’s in love, JoJo has a tough time believing him after her last TV boyfriend said her loved her, only to dump her days later. So Robby does what any guy would do: He shows her a note from his dad. And sheloves it -- so much so that she tells viewers that she knows she loves Robby. But JoJo also says she won't be saying those three special words to anyone until the end. The same goes for Jordan, whom she admits to loving while speaking to the cameras.
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING: That is not what happens for poor bronze medalist Chase. No, JoJo didn't cut Chase loose at the rose ceremony, and she didn't cut him loose during the serious portion of their date. She waited until she had invited Chase to the fantasy suite. After he admitted that he loved her, she informed him that those words didn't make her feel how she thought they would. But Chase didn't go easily, giving JoJo some parting words (and sobs on her end) about how she had him jumping over hurdles to put his feelings into words, only to use them as his ticket home. However, he comes around the next day to tell JoJo he doesn't want to leave their relationship on such a combative note, and it's a surprisingly kind moment. And you know whose thoughts we're dying to hear on the matter? Hipster radio DJ and consummate Bachelorette every-man Wells Adams, who recently posted his live reactions to JoJo's hometown visits on his Snapchat. Gems like this are not to be missed: "Jordan, your mom looks like Gwyneth Paltrow's mom from Meet the Fockers."

UnREAL
Lifetime
WHAT HAPPENED: Last time we left UnREAL, Romeo had been shot by a police officer. As for Monday's follow-up, EW recapper Dalene Rovestine says, "If you were hoping tonight's episode would address the shooting in more detail, well... me too." Instead, the hour focuses on Rachel, and, well, Hot Rachel. Coleman finds Yael looking through his computer. She finally admits that she's a reporter working on a story called "Reality TV Kills," and she says they should partner up. He doesn't say yes, but the next thing you know, Coleman is telling Rachel he loves her to get her to leave the psych ward where her mother is keeping her. Then he films her as she spills all the dirt about Mary and Romeo. Rachel's mom and Quinn bust in on the filming. It's quickly revealed that mother dearest is also up to something, and she's been at it for much longer. Rachel later tells Coleman that one of her mother's patients raped her when she was 12 -- and she's been hiding it (through drugs and manipulation -- sound familiar?) ever since. Coleman immediately goes to meet Yael to tell her he's got the goods on Everlasting.
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING: Yikes. On the bright side, Darius regained a little power on Monday night. His attempt to get Ruby back fails, his football career is over, and his cousin was recently shot, but -- and this is a big but! -- Jay convinces him that if he comes back to the show and chooses Tiffany, he might be the first black owner of a football team. Darius bites, storms theEverlasting set, and informs Quinn that he's the captain now. "After his powerlessness of last week, it's both understandable and a relief to see him take control," the A.V. Club says. "Just as empowering is the return of Ruby and her refusal to take Darius back after he humiliated her on national television (Good for you, Ruby!)." Yeah -- good for you Ruby!

WHAT HAPPENED: Are you a little bored by Vicki Gunvalson's sort-of-apology tour? Well, the wait is over: You've been cordially invited to the party/brawl of the year. It's '70s-themed, which means that everyone is both hammered and wearing sparkly head scarfs. Kelly, perhaps the drunkest of them all, is finally making her official RHOC debut. After a little too much "whooping it up" with Vicki, she cannot stop telling Shannon's husband David -- currently sporting a man-perm -- that he looks like a "pedophile" in his costume. So Shannon pulls aside Jaci and Nina, two friends of the housewives, to hear the dirt they have on Kelly from the time she thought she was getting divorced and then didn't. Tamra tells Kelly what's happening, making Kelly freak out. Kelly tells Shannon that she looks like Mrs. Roper, David kicks Kelly and Vicki out, and Vicki starts talking about Shannon. "You shut your f---ing mouth," David screams. "You lied about cancer!"
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING: If you thought that was the mid-drop moment, get ahold of Kelly's follow-up: "No wonder you cheated on your wife!" To which Shannon responds -- possibly with the dirt she finally got out of Jaci and Nina -- "Didn't you cheat on your husband?" Oh, it is mayhem. And it's finally given Vulture the material they needed to make a full assessment of new cast member Kelly. Let's just say this isn't glowing: "The worst thing about [Kelly] is that her awfulness is derivative," says Vulture. "There is nothing uniquely horrible about her like Vicki Gunvalson, Ramona Singer, or Kenya Moore. Just as she accuses everyone of being the same, so is she.... Kelly is one of those people who was not popular in high school and admits to being teased and bullied. Now, as revenge, she uses those same tactics on other women in her orbit to assert her dominance and authority." Careful with these women though, Kel -- they don't respond kindly to having their parties ruined.

INSPIRATION STATION: Michelle Obama's energizing endorsement of Hillary Clinton is already a highlight of the week -- and the Democratic National Convention is just getting started. The most impressive part? She didn't mention Donald Trump's name once.
