Tues Inspiration

Morning Inspiration with Pastor Merritt

Holding a belief differs from having a conviction. A belief exists in your head, but a conviction seeds itself in your heart. A belief says, "I am convinced of this truth." A conviction says, "I am committed to this truth." People will argue for their beliefs, but they will die for their convictions. Beliefs can change in tough times, but not convictions. Beliefs are negotiable, convictions are not. If you change a belief, compromise a belief, or concede a belief, that doesn't necessarily affect your character. A conviction, however, should not change or be compromised regardless of the circumstance.
