After turning you into a dog with its selfie lenses, Snapchat now has some special augmented reality (AR) filters for your actual pupper.
Released on Christmas Eve, Snapchat's new dog lenses will make it look like Rover has a butterfly on his nose or a ring of treats floating atop his head like a halo. One will frame your pooch's face with a pepperoni pizza. Others let you see how adorable your Good Boy looks wearing nerd glasses or pink hipster frames.
They're as adorable as they sound; check them out in the video below, which features dogs from the Los Angeles adoption center Wags & Walks.
"A new treat for you and your best friend," Snapchat wrote.
To try them out, open the Snapchat camera and press on the screen to open the lens carousel as usual. Scroll through the carousel until you find a lens with a little blue pawprint icon on it, aim your camera at your dog, and prepare to say "aww."
The launch of these new lenses comes after Snapchat last month first launched AR filters specifically for cats, according to The Verge. Now dog owners can give their animal an alter ego, too. At the moment, there are only a few dog filters available, but The Verge says Snapchat is working on others which should arrive soon.
Appealing to dog and cat owners might just help Snapchat offset declining user engagement on the platform. The company also recently introduced Snap Originals, five-minute exclusive shows that feature new episodes every day. Originals can be found in the Discover section of the app or via Snapchat search.
