L3 Cache
The L3 Cache (short for Level 3 Cache) is a memory bank that is either built into the motherboard (between the microprocessor and main memory) or sometimes built into the microprocessor (CPU chip) itself. The L3 Cache feeds and is slower than the L2 Cache, but is faster than main memory.
