Love is not self-seeking. If anything defines true love it is this – love is a selfless love. It is a loving you, before you love me love. Every so often when we say, “I love you” we don’t really mean “I’ve made a commitment to place your needs above my needs.” What we really mean is “I love you for what you do for me” or “I love you because you make me feel good.” What you are doing right now is working for the person that I truly love most which is me, which is why I love you. Real love loves others for what we can give to them, not because of what we get from them. How is your love doing? - Pastor Merritt
