Many people go through life with the mistaken idea that God will bless us and answer our prayers simply because we are His children and we ask Him to. The reality we must accept is that God is a God of love and infinite wisdom, and He answers all of our prayers according to His good and perfect will for our lives. The other reality we must embrace is that, after salvation, God owes us absolutely nothing! He has given us everything at Calvary. Everything after that is icing on the cupcake!

When you face struggles and get handed what you don't deserve, you will be tempted to give up and give in. You will be tempted to give up and give in. You will be tempted to throw in the towel. In these moments, you must make a decision either to assume God is absent and you're on your own or to believe God is present and standing beside you. The choice you make will determine whether you stand or fall. Before you choose, remember this: God is with you even when there is no evidence that He is.
