A Page Layout Program is a desktop publishing program that goes well beyond the capabilities of a regular word processing program with a strong precision focus on: page layout, text and column layout, the addition of rules and borders, formatting of text, text flow, kerning, precision typography, formatting and positioning of graphics, color control, etc.
