Charles Dickens’ wild success with A Christmas Carol led him to chase the holiday again with many (not as successful) Christmas stories like The Cricket on the Hearth: A Fairy Tale of Home, The Chimes: A Goblin Story of Some Bells that Rang an Old Year Out and a New Year In, and The Haunted Man and the Ghost’s Bargain: A Fancy for Christmas-Time—none of these titles gained anywhere near the popularity of A Christmas Carol.

A Daisy Wheel Printer is a noisy, slow, and now obsolete type of printer that functioned on the same principle as ball-head typewriters. Daisy Wheel Printers could produce letter-quality printouts at about 10-75 characters per second, but were unable to print graphics.
