Angelina Jolie Dumps Brad Pitt: Files for Divorce Among Allegations of Parenting Issues & Substance Abuse

A big surprise rippled across Hollywood this morning when it was announced by celebrity news website TMZ that Angelina Jolie had filed for divorce from Brad Pitt.
The couple, who've been together since 2004 but only recently married in August of 2014, have six children together.
Jolie cited irreconcilable differences in the legal documents. CNN has also confirmednews of the divorce.
TMZ's sources told them that Jolie has been extremely upset with Pitt's parenting style, and the divorce has a lot to do with how he's raising the kids.
More specifically, TMZ reports that:
Angelina became "fed up" with Brad's consumption of weed and possibly alcohol, and mixed with what she believes is "an anger problem" ... felt it became dangerous for the children.
Consequently, she's asking for physical custody of all six children.

The 41-year-old mother did, however, ask the judge to give Pitt joint legal custody and visitation rights.
In the past, the couple has talked about their parenting styles. Brad admitted during a 2015 interview with E! that Angelina works the hardest at being a good mom:
"When Angie has a day off, the first thing she does is get up and take the kids out. This is the most important 'to do' of the day. No matter how tired she might be, she plans outings for each and all. She has an incredible knack for inventing crazy experiences for them, something new, something fresh. I may be the bigger goof of the pair, but she invents the stage."
But Jolie has also publicly applauded her husband for his parenting as well:
“I’m very grateful to be in a position where I can still work and enjoy that creative part of my life and not feel like I’m neglecting my responsibilities as a mother. I also love having a man like Brad who enjoys looking after the kids the way he does, because it’s a lot of work.”
As serious as this divorce is, some people aren't wasting the opportunity to make jokes:

Bless Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie for opening a door into a room in my brain that isn't full of Donald Trump.
While Jolie listed the date of separation as September 15th, so far neither Jolie nor Pitt has commented publicly about the divorce.
Update: Jolie's lawyer released the following statement: "This decision was made for the health of the family. She will not be commenting, and asks that the family be given its privacy at this time."
