Morning Inspiration with Pastor Merritt
I want to get very practical with you today. I want you to take someone a security blanket by being a peace maker in someone’s life. I want you to re-gift peace and take it to them. Let me give you three practical ways you can do that. To someone who is far from God, why don’t you share with them your testimony and your story of how you received peace with God and how they can have peace with God as well? To someone who is worried, fearful, or anxious why don’t you go to that person and share with them how God has everything under control and how God works everything out for the good of those who love Him, of how you will be there for them if they need you and you can re-gift to them the peace of God? Then, maybe in your own family you are at war with someone or there is a friendship that has been fractured that you need to repair. There is a relationship that has been broken that you need to restore. Maybe you could intervene and you can intercede. You could help a family or some former friends or a marriage have peace from God.
The good news of Christmas is you don’t have to die to rest in peace. You can rest in peace here and now. Even with all the problems, all the pressures, and all the people that we have to deal with, that little baby was born 2000 years ago so that we might have peace on earth.
