Fri Inspiration

Morning Inspiration with Pastor Merritt

Love is patient. If you can imagine love as being a fleet of ships then the flagship of love is patience. This word is very interesting. It is composed of two words. The first word is “thymia” which gives us the word “thermometer.” It refers to heat or passion. The second word is “macro” which is the opposite of “micro”. It means “long.” So literally it says “Love is long-tempered.” Love has a long fuse. Figuratively it means “taking a long time to boil.” It takes love a long time to get angry. It has a long fuse, but it takes love only a short time to get over it. It has a short memory. How loving are you?
