Safety Recall

Yankee Candle Recalls More Than 30,000 Candles

Yankee Candle has announced a recall of more than 30,000 candles after it was discovered that cracking glass jars presented a laceration hazard.
According to the Huffington Post, Yankee Candle will recall thousands of candles in one particular line due to the risk of laceration.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall of 31,000 candles from Yankee Candle's "Luminous Collection." When lit, the square glass jar in which the candle sits can crack, which poses a risk of cutting consumers.
According to WXIN, Yankee Candle received 16 reports of glass jars cracking, but no injuries have been reported so far.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission encourages anybody who purchased a candle from the Luminous Collection between September and November 2016 to stop using the product and contact Yankee Candle for a full refund of their purchase.
The candles being recalled came in a six varieties of scents, including Sea Salt & Coral, Blackberry & Sage, Apple Blossom & Melon, Sugarcane & Honey, Pine & Sandalwood, and Cinnamon & Cedar.
