In a truly astonishing crossover, Emilia Clarke of “Game of Thrones” will be joining the “Star Wars” universe. This is not a drill, we repeat, the Mother of Dragons is going to join “Star Wars” canon forever.
Clarke, known for her current role on HBO’s fantasy series, will be joining the still yet-to-be-named Han Solo origin story.
The announcement comes via news release, but unlike the previous casting news that revealed “Community” and “Atlanta” star Donald Glover would be donning a cape for a younger Lando Calrissian, there are absolutely zero details as to who (or what) Clarke will be playing in this Solo spinoff.
Clarke and Glover join Alden Ehrenreich (“Hail, Caesar!”), who had been previously cast as the the scruffy-looking nerf herder Solo, officially announced at this year’s “Star Wars” celebration.
The Solo origin movie is set for release sometime in 2018. Meanwhile, let the Clarke “Star Wars” character guessing begin.
We’re going all in on a distant relation to the mother of Mace and Cindel from an “Ewok Adventure.”
