Did You Know/Todays Term

Did You Know?

Thanks to the northwestern slope of California’s inland border, the city of Reno, Nevada sits further west than the city of Los Angeles, California.

Today's Tech Term

Split DNS

Split DNS (short for Split Domain Name System, a.k.a. Split-Horizon DNS or Split-View DNS) refers to a setup where two individual/separate DNS servers (or zones), internal and external, are running in order improve security and privacy management.
If there is a request for an internal (same network-based) resource, then the internal DNS handles the name resolution. If the request is for an external resource, then the external DNS handles the name resolution.
