Morning Inspiration with James Merritt
Christ's kingdom should come before everything. Remember how Jesus put it? "Seek first the kingdom of God" (Matthew 6:33). This 'seeking' is a present tense verb that means "to actively pursue, to go after." And you can be sure, when Jesus tells us to "go after" something, he intends for us to do it with all our might – at the expense of everything else. Jesus is not interested in being some kind of runner-up or second-in-command in our lives. He is our King – and his kingdom gets it all.
