Characters in Game of Thrones are going to be on the move in season 8.
Actor John Bradley revealed to TV Guide the final season will put fan favorites into different locations.
“Each of the characters this year is placed in a completely alien environment at some point in the season that they’ve never been placed in before,” the Samwell Tarly actor said while promoting the release of GoT season 7 on home video. “The thrill is seeing how they react to it and how they respond… This season, I think, more than any other is stretching these characters.”
Intriguing! The character that perhaps provokes the most mystery when reading this is Cersei Lannister — who has spent nearly the whole series keeping herself as safe as possible behind the stone walls of the Red Keep. Where might she go?
Bradley added that showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss are feeling the fandom pressure to get the final season right (“nobody cares more about the show than those guys,” he reassures) and that he’s very optimistic about the final run of episodes.
“The stakes definitely feel ramped up,” he said. “…We want to give people a payoff that they’re going to be happy with … I think people are going to be delighted with the results.”
Previously, former GoT actor Jason Momoa predicted the final six episodes will be “the greatest thing to ever air on TV,” while Sophie Turner let slip that the final season won’t air until 2019 (HBO hasn’t confirmed this officially but…).
