Look at These Turn Signals

Giugiario's latest creation is a set of turn signals with a high-riding supercar attached.

Legendary car designer Giorgetto Giugiario and his son revealed a new high-riding supercar concept today called the GFG Style Kangaroo. It's a fully electric vehicle with a 3.5-second 0-62 mph time, a top speed of 155 mph, a range of over 280 miles, and four-wheel steering. But that's not the real story. The real story are the car's rear turn signals.


Just look at them! They're massive. They occupy the entire rear grille section, flanking the rear license plate. According to GFG's press release, each dot is a small prism with an LED light, and they're all meant to work together to create a "jewel effect." One thing's for sure—you won't miss it when this thing's about to make a turn.

Aside from the angular body language and exceptional ground clearance, the Kangaroo has another neat feature: gullwing windows. That's right, the windows go straight up, while the rest of the door opens like a scissor. Going through the drive-thru must be interesting in this.

This isn't the first time we've seen an off-road-minded supercar concept from Giugiario—the first was the Parcour in 2013, then later the Audi Nanuk Quattro. This makes the Kangaroo the third version, and it might be the best yet for the turn signals and the doors alone.

The Kangaroo will be shown at the Geneva Motor Show this week, though it's unclear if it'll ever head to production. Considering neither of its predecessors did, we're doubtful. Still, it's cool as hell, and I'm glad it exists.
