Edit FB Posts

How to Edit Facebook Posts

By Harry Guinness

On social media, it’s easy to quickly post something without properly proofreading it. Autocorrect does a great job…most of the time. Thankfully, at least with Facebook, you can edit something even after you’ve posted it. Here’s how to do it.

First, find the offending post on your page.

Tap or click the little arrow in the top right corner of the post and select Edit Post.

Edit the post so that it says what you originally meant it to say.

Tap Save and everything will be fixed.

It’s important to note that your original post is still viewable. If someone can see a post, they can see its edit history. Facebook used to show a “Edited” beside edited posts, but they stopped doing that earlier this year.

Now, you have to click or tap the arrow next to the post and select View Edit History.

You’ll see a complete list of all the changes made to the post.

This stops someone posting one thing and then changing it to something totally different.
