Morning Inspiration with Pastor Merritt
“And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20)
Who is the “you” that Jesus said He would be with? He is talking about the “you” who does what Jesus just commanded which is to make disciples. Do you know when Jesus really shows up in church? It is when a church is fulfilling its job description.
Do you know how important this job description is? This job description is so important to God that He is not just asking us to do this for Him, but He is asking us to do this with Him.
When we really get focused on God and what is important to Him, when we really have an upward passion for the God that loved us so much then we realize He not only created a world for us to live in physically, but He created a heaven for us to live in eternally. He wants to make that happen so badly He sent His own son, Jesus Christ to die and take care of the one problem that would keep that from happening. The reason why God has come into your life is so that you will go to others who need Him to come into their life. Followers of Jesus make followers of Jesus.
